I am an Associate Professor at the Texas A&M School of Law.
In my research, I use empirical methods — behavioral experiments, vignette studies, systematic content analysis, and computational methods — to study how people understand and respond to the legal standards that govern contracts, such as reasonableness, fairness, and consent.
A central theme of my work is the gap between what contract law assumes about human behavior and judgment, and what people actually do and believe. I examine this both in traditional contractual relationships and in the rapidly evolving digital environment, where data collection and algorithmic decision-making are reshaping how contracts are formed and performed.
